Artist Bio

LaShae "LJ" Eaddy
aka PoetryPicasso

I am an artist of many mediums, my preferred being poetry, photography, and free handed calligraphy. I create not only as a therapy for my own aching and expressions of joy, but also to start important conversations about race, womanhood, and beauty in the mundane - to name a few. I strive to encourage thoughtful consideration and conversation about real issues that I observe and experience first hand with my art. I hope for audiences to experience my art with their hearts - the ability for an audience to empathize with my subject matter is crucial to understanding my art and why I create it. It is also the foundation for sparking the conversations that hopefully incite change in the viewers and the world.
